This restaurant is great! It's worth driving out of your way to find it. Ed and Angie are the most hospitable folks, and they treat you like family the first time you walk into their restaurant. The food is excellent and nicely smoked. The brisket is moist, and the ribs are perfectly seasoned. It's so good you don't need sauce, but you should because it's amazing too! The sides are fantastic and taste like grandma made them. You need to go to Shotgun BBQ and experience this!

Our family group took a short detour off the interstate and had some of the BEST and most tender BBQ pork, Brisket, and Chicken we have ever had! Boy was it worth it! The sides were delicious and savory also. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Well worth the drive!
Shotgun BBQ has a BRAND NEW ICE CREAM STATION with amazing flavors to choose from and also had to get me a to go Brisket Quesadilla! Good food and good people.
The food was near perfect which isn't a review I give likely. Some of the best coleslaw and collard greens I have never put in my mouth and that's saying something since I grew up send me at the table of two world class Southern Cooks. What made it even more delightful as I found out in 18 year old young man that prepared the dreams. The ribs were cooked to perfection almost falling off the bone. Only suggestion I have for those is to reduce the amount of salt in the rub. Personally I like a bit of a salty taste but some folks might be turned off by it. It's not going to stop me from going back however. It's a little bit off the beaten path in South Alabama but it is worth the drive. It's a no frills eatery with some of the friendliest people ever going to meet.
I had the beef rib, mac and cheese and swamp soup. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich, macaroni and cheese and potato salad. Everything was so good. I normally always use barbecue sauce and I never needed it the flavor was so delicious . The macaroni and cheese had a great smoked flavor to it. The owner is great he threw a party for my nephew Xander with karaoke. They are the best here. Give it a try it won't disappoint!
Perfect hole in the wall restaurant! Food was delicious, people were supper friendly and helped us with any food request we had! It gave off a grandmas house vibes! would recommend to anyone!!
We were in Bay Minette visiting family and we were looking for a good place for my birthday dinner and saw the great reviews for this place. WOW! Great hole in the wall BBQ restaurant! The brisket was perfect and the banana pudding was outstanding! I can guarantee the next time we are in Bay Minette we will be back again. I do have to say, the owners are as awesome as the food! As soon as he heard we were from Michigan, ha had to come visit and spend time with us.
My husband and I were looking for good BBQ and reading reviews online. He found this place off the beaten path and it was so worth it. It hit that spot. Meat was tender juicy and their homemade BBQ was delicious. there was plenty of food for the prices as well. We will be here again.
